What a Lotto Cash for Lucky Winner
27 Sep 2006
All Lotto players in St Albans and district are being urged to check and double check their tickets this week as a £669,219 jackpot prize has yet to be claimed.
The search is on to find the owner of the winning ticket, which was brought in the Welwyn Hatfield or St Albans area for the Wednesday, August 30 game.
The lucky Lotto ticket-holder has until February 26, 2007 to make their claim, otherwise the prize money, plus all the interest generated, will go to the Good Causes which have already received £19 million through lottery sales.
A National Lottery spokesman said: "We're urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing Lotto ticket could be hiding.
"Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa - someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune.
"We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their prize in time."
If your ticket matches all six Lotto numbers, which are 19, 21, 22, 38, 44 and 49, then call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
