Was it me?

It's bad enough playing the lottery each week and not winning, but is it worse to win and not know?
It can only be assumed that was the case in the latest jackpot to go unclaimed. That's right, ?5.4 million won on September 10 2005 has just been returned, unclaimed to the Lottery Good Causes.
The ticket was bought in North Lanarkshire, but lottery operator Camelot would not divulge the actual outlet. This jackpot sum is the second biggest to go begging, the highest was ?9 million won on a ticket bought in Doncaster.
No one will ever know if the tickets to these jackpot wins were lost, or simply thrown away.
The moral of the story?
