Lotto Millionaire Repeats The Trick

A woman who won a million dollars on a lottery has done it again.

Valerie Wilson, 56, beat odds of 3.6 trillion to one to get the two scratchcard wins four years apart in the New York State Lottery.

But she still has no intention of giving up work at a Long Island delicatessen.

'The first time I couldn't believe it,' she said yesterday. 'This time I said, 'God's on my side'.'

The latest prize, equivalent to about £536,000, will be paid out in £25,000 instalments over 20 years.

Mrs Wilson used her first winnings to help her three children buy homes. 'This one is for me,' she said. 'I'm going to live a little bit.'

There have been two previous repeat million-dollar-plus winners in the lottery's history.
