O'Leary to Host Lottery Game Show
25 Aug 2006
Big Brother presenter Dermot O'Leary is to host a Saturday night National Lottery game show on BBC One, it has been confirmed.
The 33-year-old will host 1 vs 100 - which pits one player against 100 opponents - due to start next month.
O'Leary has presented Big Brother's Little Brother on Channel 4 since it began in 2001.
Eamonn Holmes will continue to host the National Lottery Jet Set show, while Dale Winton stays with In It To Win It.
The new show, 1 vs 100, has already been a hit in nine countries including the Netherlands, Sweden and Germany.
It pits one player against 100 opponents, whose goal it is to eliminate all the opposition by correctly answering questions.
Along the way the player has opportunities to "buy" the right answer, but if they do, their cash prize pot plummets.
If the player gives a wrong answer at any time, it is game over and they leave with nothing.
The show will make its debut next month.
